
Noida: The poster of 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022 was released by well known writer, actor, Director from Netherlands Jolein Laarman and Wicher J Slater First Secretary from the Embassy of Netherlands on their visit to Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. “What a pleasure to be the part of this well known film, television and media house- Marwah Studios. It is a great pleasure to release the poster of 15th Global Film Festival Noida. The 15th edition speaks for itself the stability and popularity of the film festival which has grown so big in all these years,” said Jolien Laarman with excitement in her voice.
I extend my heartiest congratulations to the completer team of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry for continuously organising Global Film Festival and bringing the World together through art and culture,” added Wicher J Starter from Embassy of Netherlands. The visit was well appreciated by Indo Netherlands Film and Cultural Forum which is growing under the chairmanship of Sandeep Marwah. Later Sandeep Marwah honoured the dignities with the life membership of International Film and Television Club of Marwah Studios.




Noida: “Looking at the roots of film history in India, it surfaces that the first feature film was made in the year 1912-13. Those were the days when women avoided participation in films. So, male artists had to play the female roles as well. Then a change occurred in1930 and women form rich families joined the movie industry and changed its face. Devika Rani, Zubeidaa, Mehtab, Shobhana Samarth were the popular heroines of this time,” initiated by Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at the seminar Women & Cinema during 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022.
“In Indian film industry women have played very significant role in bringing success to individual films. Their roles however have changed over a period of time, from total dependency on their male counterparts to independently carry the storyline forward,” said Jaswinder Gardner renowned actress.
“Period 1950s to late 1970s can be considered as the golden era of Bollywood films. In this time films focused on our rich culture, rural sector, family and friendly relationships, customs, norms and ethics. The issues of poverty were also highlighted. The women discharged important role in the films. They held a lot of responsibility on their shoulders to sell the films in the market. Women were given an equally dominant role in the films along with the male actors. Some prominent films of this era viz., Kaagaz Ke Phool, Mother India, Pakeezah, Half Ticket, and Padosan can be cited as example,” said Dr. Amol Kolhe renowned actor & Member Parliament
“Action era in Bollywood films began in 1980s. It brought big changes. The Bollywood heroines lost their strength and space to the hero. She was reduced to a glamorous component of the films. She danced around trees, kidnapped, raped or killed,” added Surendra Jagtap renowned producer of Hindi & Marathi Films
Neelam Sharma renowned Model & VJ, Kanchan Bhor renowned Actress, Priya Dhingra Social Media Influencer, Shubh Malhotra popular Film Stylist, Katianna Ley Actress from Slovenia, Tatiana Bhardwaj Secretary General of Russia House Federation, Dr. P K Rajput of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Later Sandeep Marwah honoured all the dignities with festival memento. Dr. Amol Kohle was presented with prestigious Hindi Cinema Samman. The event was organised by International Film and Television Club and supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry& Asian Unity Alliance. Noida: The 15th Global Film Festival was well received by the audience from all over India and abroad. Every film was screened before the full house of film lovers. Hungarian film Apro Medek-Tall Tales was well appreciated by the film makers and film goers on the first day of the festival.
“Hungarian has had a notable cinema industry since the beginning of the 20th century, including Hungarians who affected the world of motion pictures both within and beyond the country’s borders. The former could be characterized by directors Istvan Szabo, Bela Tarr, or Miklos Jancso the latter by William Fox and Adolph Zukor, the founders of Fox Studios and Paramount Pictures respectively, or Alexander Korda, who played a leading role in the early period of British cinema. . Examples of successful Hungarian films include Merry go Round, Mephisto, Werckmeister Harmonies and Kontroll,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chair for Indo Hungarian Film and Cultural Forum.
“In the rubble and ruin of war’s aftermath, an opportunistic con man named Balász pretends to be a close friend of soldiers killed in the war and insinuate his way into their families and their bank accounts. It’s a dangerous game and gets him into such serious trouble he must flee Budapest to save his skin. When he is given shelter in a remote forest by a woman named Judit and her son, Balász’s con man trickery fades as he finds himself falling in love. Things go well in their passionate affair until Judit’s brutish husband returns home from the front,” story of Tall Tales was narrated by Dr Mariann Erdo Cultural Counselor Embassy of Hungary.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the Award of Distinction to Dr Mariann Erdo for the film Tall Tales.

The festival has been able to attract large number of films from all over World, whereas the purpose of the festival is to bring love, peace, and Unity through Cinema,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival in a jam-packed hall.
“It is our privilege to be part of this grand festival, being an opening film, it has added feather in the cap of cultural diplomacy. This is an award-winning film and I am sure all of you will love this cinema,” said Mehdi Boukourizia from Embassy of Morocco while lighting the lamp.
Ali Zaoua: Prince of the Streets is a 2000 Moroccan crime drama film that tells the story of several homeless boys living in Casablanca. It was awarded in the 2000 Stockholm Film Festival, Montreal World Film Festival and in the 2000 Amiens International Film Festival.
Ali Zaoua is a Moroccan film which reflects the pain of poverty, homelessness, child abuse and prostitution in Moroccan society. The film has been described as magical realism , in the sense of how the stark reality of the children’s lives interweaves with their rich fantasy life.
Said Hijri Councellor Embassy of Morocco, Dr. P.K.Rajput, Neha Singh Founder Friezeit Media also share their views on cinema. Later Sandeep Marwah presented all the dignities with the memento of the festival and an Award of Distinction to the Moroccan Film Ali Zaoua. The event was supported by Indo Morocco Film and Cultural Forum, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry & AAFT University.
Noida: On the second day of the 15th Global Film Festival Noida a screening session for the film titled-“Shocking Marriage” from Italy, was organized in the premises of the Asian Academy of films and television. The session started with Sushil Bharti introducing the guests and briefing about the importance of film screening and cinema, explaining this, he also talked about the impact of cinema in society where he said cinema brings humanity together. He also spoke about the director Demetrio Casile and cast & crew of the film Shocking Marriage.
Ajay Tiwari spoke about various steps which were taken by the government to promote cinema across India in which he also talked about the implementation of various policies. He also emphasized the cultural connect which can be promoted by Cinema. Further, Suraj Tiwari shared his experience of dubbing the film from Italian to Hindi language and the various challenges which came along with it, which includes the music which was to be kept, the original meaning and message which has to be carefully sustained through an appropriate translation of dialogues.
Talking about the gist of the movie he said that the film tells the story of the marriage of the sister of a local boss with the shyest boy in the town, going through a succession of events that meticulously describe Calabrian customs and traditions and how these still impact everyday life today.
The film was felicitated with an ‘Award of Distinction’ which was presented by Sandeep Marwah President of the festival. Shocking Marriage was one of the top eighteen films shown in the festival. The event was supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, AAFT University, Asian Unity Alliance, World Peace Foundation and Indo Italian Film and Cultural Forum.
New Delhi, India – February 25, 2024: In a cordial meeting followed by a Get Together organized by the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) at Lalit Hotel, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair for the Media and Entertainment Committee of IACC and President of Marwah Studios, had the honor of briefing Her Excellency Shefali Razdan Duggal, American Ambassador to the Netherlands, about the various activities undertaken by Marwah Studios in collaboration with the United States of America.
Chaired by Arun Karna, President of Indo American Chamber of Commerce, the event provided an ideal platform for fostering dialogue and cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, Dr. Sandeep Marwah highlighted the significant milestones achieved through Marwah Studios’ engagements with the United States. He recounted the privilege of being included in the itinerary of former President Bill Clinton during his visit to New Delhi, as well as the honor of hosting former First Lady Mrs. Bush at the Noida Film City. The inauguration of this captivating exhibition was graced by the esteemed presence of His Excellency Sardor Mirzayusupovich Rustambaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of India.
The showcased furniture pieces exhibited exceptional craftsmanship and ingenuity, capturing the essence of the theme – saving space. From innovative storage solutions to multifunctional designs, the exhibition underscored the students’ extraordinary skills in interior design.
