New Delhi, July 27, 2025:  A powerful and reflective session commemorating Black July—the tragic anti-Tamil pogrom in Sri Lanka that took place in July 1983—was inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, at the Constitution Club of India. The event aimed to raise awareness about the horrors of ethnic violence and promote peace, unity, and empathy in society.

Black July remains a dark chapter in Sri Lanka’s history, during which thousands of Tamils were killed, displaced, and their properties destroyed, igniting a civil war that lasted for decades. The 124th edition of the AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The prestigious event graced by an illustrious panel of guests including renowned filmmaker Muzaffar Ali.
