Mumbai: In a moment of high recognition at the prestigious WAVES – World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit held in Mumbai, Dr. L. Murugan, Hon’ble Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, applauded Dr. Sandeep Marwah for his outstanding and transformative contributions to the Indian media and entertainment industry.
Praising Dr. Marwah’s monumental 40-year journey, Dr. Murugan stated, “Dr. Sandeep Marwah has given invaluable service to the nation through his visionary leadership and relentless commitment to the growth of the media and entertainment sector. His dedication has positioned India prominently on the global creative map.”
Dr. Marwah, a pioneer and cultural diplomat, is the founder of Noida Film City and Marwah Studios, where thousands of television programs and feature films have been shot. As Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, he has trained over 35,000 media professionals from 145 countries, produced 3,600 short films, and provided opportunities to 25,000 filmmakers to create their debut projects.
He is also the founder of 10 major film festivals in India, creator of more than 8,000 cultural events across every genre, and has proudly represented over 80 countries as a cultural ambassador. His tireless efforts have significantly contributed to strengthening India’s soft power through media, art, and international collaboration.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Minister and the organizers of the WAVES Summit, saying, “It is an honour to be recognized at such an important platform.
